As we move through the early months of the year, we’re grateful for the community that makes Puppy Jake Foundation’s mission possible. Because of you, we continue training high-quality service dogs for veterans and expanding programs that strengthen the relationship between a veteran and his or her dog.
Reaccredited by Assistance Dogs International
We are proud to share that Puppy Jake Foundation has been reaccredited by Assistance Dogs International (ADI), the global leader in service dog standards. This recognition affirms our commitment to excellence in training, placement, and ongoing support.
With more than 65 service dogs placed with veterans since our founding, this reaccreditation reflects the professionalism, integrity, and care behind every dog we train and every team we support.
Expanding Support Through Our Endorsement Program
In 2025, we launched our Endorsement Program to support veterans who already have a service dog but need affiliation with an ADI-accredited organization. Through this program, veterans can access additional training support and eligibility for VA veterinary insurance benefits.
We’re proud to share that our first two endorsement teams have successfully completed the program and are now moving forward with VA enrollment — an exciting milestone for these teams and our organization.
Training the Next Generation of Volunteers
Our volunteers are essential to our work. From fostering future service dogs to supporting training and outreach, they make our mission possible.
Training Fundamentals 101, a three-week introductory class, offers a first look at our training philosophy and the impact service dogs have in restoring independence for veterans. If you’ve been considering getting involved, this is a great place to start.
